Former Boy Scout leader Brian Peffly, who was kicked out of the Boy Scouts because he is gay. The Scouts on Monday ended its blanket ban on gay leaders.

While this isn’t a complete victory, it’s an enormous step forward. Not to sound too cheesy, but now we can work on living happily ever after.

We believe this committee has no desire to hold a responsible, fair fact-driven hearing. In fact, this committee cares more about political gamesmanship than the truth. Therefore, we decline the request to testify in person.

We have to remember that righteousness exalts a nation, not economics, so do not vote your pocketbook. Forty-five percent of Christians vote economic issues over moral issues; that’s not what God will bless. God will bless the moral issues, then your economics will follow that. So we have to come out of the closet and when we get out, we have to remember to think biblically when we vote.
